  • Electronic Self Check-in

The Arctic Divide is a self check-in accommodation. We do not have a front desk or staff to help you book on site. You will a receive a door code to access your room 72 hours before your stay. Be aware that the lodge rooms are accessed via a central rustic log stairwell, which can make carrying large luggage challenging. Those with accessibility issues should reserve the motel rooms or accessibility room on lodge ground floor. We do not offer room changes after check-in.

  • Parking

We have plentiful parking in our parking lot. Our parking lot is also pull-through which allows trailers to park without backing up. You may park along the island next to the road sign if you have a trailer.

Our parking lot is also monitored 24/7 by recorded security cameras.

  • Pets

We are not pet-friendly. Service dogs with registered paperwork are permitted with advance notice (more than 72 hours). If an animal checks in without being registered in advance, even if it is a service animal, you will be subject to a $250.00 fee.

Your self-check in form will have a declaration for service dog accommodation or leave a note in your booking request box.

  • Smoking/vaping/marijuana

No smoking/vaping or marijuana use is permitted except in designated areas. There are two designated areas (south deck upstairs in lodge or south side of motel). Both locations are marked. Our property is monitored by security cameras and smoking fees will be charged if you are smoking outside these designated areas. Please note: Smoking on decks is ALSO not permitted.

CHECK-IN is AFTER 4 P.M. AND CHECKOUT is 10 A.M. No early check-in or late checkout without prior arrangement. If you arrive early, the door will be locked and your keycode will not be active yet. Do not try entering the code on your door (multiple wrong codes will trigger a security lockout).

  • Cancellations + Alterations

50% refundable deposit due at time of booking. The 50% deposit becomes non-refundable 7 days prior to arrival (4PM Pacific). 72 hours prior to arrival after the completion of your self check-in agreement, the remaining balance is due. Failure to complete the self-check in agreement within 24 hours will result in your reservation being cancelled and your deposit forfeited.

Linens and bath towels are included with your room. We provide apartment style housekeeping, so there is no daily housekeeper available. There is a supply zone in the main lobby area for fresh towels and toilet paper.

  • Quiet hours

No excessive noise between the hours of 9:30pm and 7:00 am. After 9:30 pm all guests must not be in common areas and in guest rooms. Noise should not be audible from the hallways. A daily security check by the property manager is done daily at 10PM. After one verbal warning, unruly guests will be evicted with no refund. We are family friendly and working stay accommodation provider, many of our guests wake early for travels or work in the area.

Rates are adjusted based on availability and subject to change without notice. Your rate will be quoted in your email confirmation. In the event of a discrepancy, your email confirmation will be the valid raid.

  • Minimum stay

We have no minimum stay requirements like many self-check in properties. Just here to stay the night! No problem. Here to stay a month, also no problem!

  • Drinking water

Arctic Divide is on well water. Our water is tested by Northern Health and certified for drinking. Our water tastes amazing and has no chemicals in it. We promote sustainability and prefer if our guests do not use water bottles while staying at our property.

  • Heating/cooling

Arctic Divide has individual thermostats in each accommodation unit for heating. We have no units with air conditioning. As we are located in the mountains, we suggest that guests open their windows at 8PM daily and close them at 8AM during the summer months for natural air conditioning. Even on the hottest days, the temperature usually drops to 8C/46F.

  • Damage Deposit/Incidentals

A preauthorized $150 damage & noise disturbance deposit will be processed with your guest self check-in agreement. You are responsible to ensure that your rental unit/room is left in the same shape as when you arrived. Any damaged or lost items (such as pillows, towels, dishes or cutlery) and/or noise disturbance complaints from neighbouring guests will be assessed and charged accordingly. Please note we require a valid credit card (no Canadian Visa Debit, E-transfers, Cash deposits or Nuggets of Gold will be accepted).

  • Alcohol

Guest alcohol is permitted in your rooms or in the communal dining or balconies/deck areas and you are of age and drink responsibly. Non-compliance may result in your eviction from the property.

Please note we do not permit alcohol use on the ground floor or outside.

Legal drinking age in British Columbia is 19.

  • Behaviour

Disorderly behaviour will not be tolerated at any time. The moment a swear word is used, you will be escorted off the property and your room charges will be forfeited. The world is tough enough, let’s all get along.

  • Occupancy limits

Each unit has a occupancy limit. If any extra persons are found in your room, we reserve the right to evict your party without refund. These occupant limits are there for fire safety and for the serenity of other occupants of the property to not overload rooms.

  • Property security/emergenices

Email to info@arcticdivide.com is the best method to reach us for anything you require during your stay. Phones are also provided in the room in the event you need to reach the property manager on short notice. A security check is done daily at 10PM on the property and the property is monitored 24/7 by recorded security cameras. By staying at Arctic Divide, you agree to be recorded and for your recordings to be kept on file for 30 days in the event of an incident.
